CNC Precision Turning
Parmac offers the highest quality of bespoke CNC precision turning, the tool which CNC is referred to is also known as Computer Numerical Control and is a single point cutting tool, this derives from the manual process know as lathe, the cutting tool lays parallel from the surface of the material you are cutting.
CNC precision turning reduced the supervision which was needed constantly for the manual lathe process, which is a more cost effective way of cutting materials for manufacturing and other operations.
There are four types of CNC precision turning that can be done using a lathe, these consist of profiling, taper turning, external turning or straight turning, these turning types create various shapes which are curved, conical, grooved or straight.
The two types of CNC precision turning that Parmac use are Horizontal or Vertical which can be sub categorised by the number of axes they have ranging from 2-6, the most common in manufacturing and machine shops is horizontal as it offers more flexibility for more complex parts.
